b. The post-ESS mean output energy shall remain within +3/-2 millijoules of the pre-ESS
mean output energy shall remain within ± 3 millijoules of the post-ESS mean value.
c. The beam divergence measurement shall conform to the requirements of 3.7.1.4.
d. The Boresight shift shall conform to the requirements of 3.7.12.2.
3.12.3 Maximum lot size. The maximum allowable inspection lot after IPT and the first
production lot shall be not greater than 300 units.
3.12.4 Successful range operation. A successful range operation is where the MLRF is
operated through a ranging sequence (see 3.12.5) and displays a range reading that is within
± 5 meters of the actual target distance.
3.12.5 Ranging sequence. A ranging sequence is defined as follows:
a. Select First or Last RTN position.
b. Press the "Charge" button.
c. Wait for the "Ready" light to illuminate.
d. Press the "Fire" button.
e. Read the displayed range.
4. VERIFICATION
4.1 Classification of inspections. Inspections shall be classified as follows:
a. First article inspection (see 4.3).
b. Conformance inspection (see 4.4).
4.2 Inspection conditions.
4.2.1 Inspection power source. Unless specifically specified all inspection/tests specified
herein, shall use the BA-6516/U or BB-516/U battery (or commercial equivalent) or external 24
Vdc power supply as the MLRF power source.
4.2.2 Sequence of inspections. Unless otherwise, specified herein inspections and tests shall
be performed in any order.
4.2.3 Testing sequences. Upon successful completion of ESS all First Article units shall be
subjected to the inspections of Table II, Subgroup 1. When Subgroup 1 inspections are completed
